Kentucky Just Us received first place in the !8th KSMU Youth in Bluegrass Band Contest on May 25th at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. Eighteen bands from fourteen different states came to take part in the contest. “We loved being apart of this contest. It is so family oriented and focused on the families and their music. Special Thanks to Mr. DA Callaway for all of the hard work that he puts into the contest every year and congratulations to all of the bands that participated!”
Kentucky Just Us released their newest album “Recorded Live” on Nov. 17th @ the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum. “This album is very special to us because we did all of the recording, engineering, mixing and design ourselves. On Oct. 20th, Kentucky Just Us received a scholarship from the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation at their first appearance at the Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival in Farmers Branch, TX. “We would like to thank Mr. Alan Tompkins, and the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation for doing that for us, and also the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music. We appreciate you guys helping us do what we love to do.” said Kacey, the fiddle player for the band.

We are so honored to be named the first ever Artists In Residence for the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum in the historic Renfro Valley. We will be playing at the Hall of Fame once a month throughout the summer and fall of 2018.
