We would like to take a moment to say thanks to our newest sponsor, Kingrey"s Auto Repair. Jerry and his staff are very friendly, and are ready to serve you today. We visited him this week to get the van ready for our big trip to Branson. Be sure and check them out on Facebook.
We have just created our FACEBOOK page. While we really have no clue as to what we are doing just yet you can now connect with us and watch us keep growing. We have a lot of things still in the works, more music, videos and more. Thanks for keeping up with us.
Things are moving quickly and we have our second sponsor - James Arnett - a GREAT FRIEND - who makes some of the finest guitars around. He has also had quite and impressive list of people who have played with his sound, such as Bill Monroe, Doyle Lawson, Marty Stewart, Ricky Skaggs and so many more that we do not have time to list them all. He has been our sound man for a couple of times - and we are SO LOOKING FORWARD to be working with him in the future.
When you do see us, you will see that our main guitar is an Arnett's Acoustic. John has played many guitars, but his favorite is his Arnett's Acoustic.
D'Addario Our New Sponsor
A few weeks ago Kentucky Just Us had the honor of being the first band to appear on Video Jukebox hosted by Laura Dodd and produced by the Nashville Broadcasting Network. The show was taped at Sam Ash in Madison TN. A special thanks to Keith Bradford and Laura Dodd for having us. You can see the show on the link below.
On Saturday night June 20th, we won first place at the 40th Annual Hillbilly Days Bluegrass Band Competition. It was a very exciting experience for us considering that it was our first competition. We were one of four bands competing. The night before, we sung at the gospel music program and nearly got rained out. Having sung that night we were asked to sing the next day at the competition.
We had a wonderful time and want to express a big Thank You to James Arnett who did the sound for the event for working so hard in such difficult conditions as all of his equipment got wet from all the rain. Thanks to everyone who listened to us and WEEN radio for broadcasting it over the radio station.
We had a wonderful time in Nashville at the Texas Troubadour Theater.
We just got the video that Blake Judd made for us featuring our song "Everyday Heroes".
This week Kacey had the honor to take a fiddle lesson from Buddy Spicher. We have added a new page that you can click on and see how it went.
We have just added a couple of new videos to our YouTube Channel from Trammel Creek Baptist Church. We had a wonderful time.
Earlier this month we got the chance to have our own video filmed by Blake Judd. We will let you know when it comes out. We are so excited about it.
We are due to be at KCounty once again this week on Wed morning at 7am, as we promote Jamin on the Square - which will be this Saturday night. Hope to see you there.
We are so excited for Kacey, as the chance of a lifetime is happening before her very eyes. Tomorrow we are headed to Nashville as Kacey will be taking her first fiddle lesson from Buddy Spicher. Mr. Spicher was on the Nashville A Sessions Players and recorded with people such as Elvis, Dolly Parton, George Jones, George Strait, and many more.
Last Friday we were at Longhunters Coffee and Tea Company filming for the TV Show - The Country Junction. We did six songs that will be played over the next few weeks.
We had the privilege to play in the Polk Sallet Festival. It was a wonderful time full of surpises.
